Great pictures elwapo. Just goes to prove that Guppies can swim out of water. They look real good. I'll post some pics of our GelbviehXTarentaise, GelbXAngus and GelbXHerf/Shorthorn heifers when I have a chance. They're out of a son of SLC Freedom, and a son of Davidson Superman we had from Diane Panrucker a few years back. Sure are heavy milkers.

thanks . There is not much to swim in on the old peigan right now . We were down to a couple of springs. Only about 1.5 inches of rain there this summer. I have some pictures if a baby rattler that I will post when I get a chance. I told my daughter that I wanted some snake pictures and it took her all of ten minutes to find a little rattler in the catus. There is also a big den in the creek bank that is getting some traffic now that fall is near.

great pics elwapo...

your Mrs. is el woohooo ! but with snakes like that around, not a big chance of me visiting!

elwapo - I am a little curious as to why your daughter's friend is traveling around in 'snake' season - barefooted! If circumstances were that she, somehow, found herself afoot without her horse in that country, and maybe alone - - -! Not smart! Nor 'cool' either! I was walking through a wheat field one time and got struck by a 'rattler' that I didn't see"! Fortunately, he hit my boot heel, and broke off his fang in it. And I was alone. Scared the "Hello Joe" out of me. A hard lesson is sometimes learned - - too late!

I was admiring your wide open spaces...then as I scroll down,,you just had to show your daughter with a SNAKE! That pretty much did it for me... :? That picture reminded me of Lilly's daughter doing the same thing..holding up a snake for a picture!!!! Dang girls...they've got way more guts than I do that's fer sure...

Yeah.....but not road killlll ewwwwwwwww LOL Lil Lilly shot her snake herself. Then the other one that was swimmin in the tank with her and a friend....she whacked it's head off with the machette.

Nice pictures of your part of province... :) Last time I seen a snake like that we were camped at Writing-On-Stone,a few years back

That is either a small woman or a big horse! Looks like they get along fine.

As for your daughter and friend hunting snakes barefoot, the people who are commenting on it, just don't realize how un-dangerous our snakes are! And how tuff the girls are!

Good pix! Thanks. :D

have no fear all. That snake was real dead before my daughter touched it . We were at the gate at the highway when we saw the dead snake and my daughter jumped out to get a good look at it. She has always pulled off her footwear when riding in the truck...... dont ask me why.

Thanks for sharing, El, nice to see your family, too :) I know, MCG has to strip her feet when she gets in the pickup :? Neverfear, it's a teenage (or close to) girl thing.

Geez I hate snakes

Getting lots of nice looking Carolina Fortune bull calves being born. We're keeping them bulls, see how they grow. Alot of them are balancers, out of some darn good mothers. 8)

It is raining here too. A big sigh of relieve for the fire situation. I had a big grass fire stop 1 mile from my pasture near suffield two weeks ago. They are talking 1 inch or better for us today and possible snow flurries for tomorrow.

I must agree with Jinglebob, looks like that red dun could cover some country. Sorta looks like he's thinking about that very thing in the photo.

Thanks for posting the pics, Elwapo.
