Hope everyone had a great Christmas. They predicted our first white Christmas in decades but it showed up one day late. We usually only get 2-3" a year around here in 1 or 2 storms. Usually in Feb. or March.
My little man helped me load some hay out on Christmas Eve. Its always fun when he tags along.
The 26th wasn't near as pretty of weather. Downright nasty in my opinion.
Gave the cow herd there first bale of hay today. They didn't need it at all but they sure appreciated it. My 86 year old grandfather about had a stroke when I told them they had plenty of grass and they could eat through the snow. So I decided some things weren't fighting and gave in. He has no interest in my cattle but still makes some of the decisions. I'm blessed to still have him around.
Hay that I'm selling right now. Grass is holding up well and we should have ryegrass coming on strong by the end of the month.
KY31 fescue might have all kind of endophytes but you can't beat it for stockpiling.

Merry Christmas from NC. We don't even know how to build a decent snowman.
