Here are some pics. I took the last few days. Our snow has really shrunk down now, but the moisture was good!

The next few are some of our heifer calves that we weaned and turned back out on pasture. Nicky had asked me about this. They are getting 6-7# of alfalfa hay, some mineral(FH  ) and all the native grass, and water they can get.

Neat pictures, Tap. They should be doing good on what you are feeding
them. Would you like a few more? :P

We never did get the snow you did, but our daughter did and she
said Gillette got about a foot of the white stuff. Sure neat when
it's wet like that.

Like I've said before, I don't mind snow, but I don't like wind with it.

Hey, Tap, great pics! I like the snow.......but then, I'm not having to be out in it, either......

Is this pretty "normal" weather for you this time of year, or are you having strange weather, like we are? Doesn't look like you've had much wind, either. That's always good.

Sure glad we didn't get that much snow...its' a catch 22...sure could use that wet snow for moisture...but don't need that much now, cause don't want to feed hay quite yet. You're heifers look fat and sassy...Great pictures... :-)

Yes,this bunch of calves are our replacement heifer calves. I think it helps them to become better mothers too, if you can let them learn to rustle a little for themselves as weaned calves. It looks like a lot of snow in a couple of the pictures, but it is in a spot with sandgrass, and the snow looks deeper than it actually is. We had around 3", and it is all gone now.

I would say that this is typical weather for this time of year. We can have about all types of weather here now, and sometimes in the same day. The ground is still warm, and that helped melt the snow too.
