Great pics Soapweed. That looks like some pretty extreme country you live in.

It is extremely unpredictable country. Yesterday was a sunshiney very pleasant day. At least the snow will provide some welcome moisture. After a couple chilly days, it is supposed to be back up in the fifties by the week-end. :-)

whos this new guy in your photos?

Great shots!

Katy

The new guy is a cowboy who is helping us during calving. He is a top hand, and a good friend of both of our sons. Sorry to say, though, he is "taken." :? :-)

Boy Soapweed cold shots like that make me appreciate the fact that I am down to the last cow to calve... Hope all is going well for you and your crew... 8)

Haven't been on here in what seems like a long while, and the first post I always seem to go to is yours Soap to see what new pics you got lately. Those cows seem to be wanting to join you in the truck btw. Nice pics, as always. :)

Yep, I'm expecting similar weather over the next few days/nights. It makes for long nights calving, but hopefully the weather will straighten out this weekend. I agree, it is wonderful moisture, and we're fortunate to get it.

Good luck with your calving, it looks like you've got a very good crew!

And if he has a whole lot of friends that look as good as him, he can bring them with him! I'd hate to put the poor guy in a situation where a pile of older women are fighting over his attention. :) I think we'd build ourselves a bad rep as a bunch of old cougars! :D
