Since this isn't any more controversial than the one Kolanuraven posted about God making factory farmers, here it is. It's more fact than fiction. Besides, there are many followers of ranchers.net that never look at Political Bull, and they need to hear this one.

The photos of those people make me sick to think that they actually exist. It's even worse that many of them are around my age, plus or minus a few years. Perhaps myself and like minded young people can set a trend of hard work and involvement in political process to offset sloth and protests.

We have watched you grow up, mytfarms, and we know you can do it. :-)

Thanks Soap! I plan to modify my major(s) to include a pre-law Enlgish focus in order to sharpen my writing, speaking, and debate skills. I think given the political corruptness of our nation, we need some folks willing to write and speak the truth with the steel to stand behind it.

Gofor it!!!
I totally agree with Soapweed.
We need others like you!!

If we all lived like the extreme liberal portrayed in the video, we'd all starve once we ran out of double cocoa lattes.

If we all lived like the extreme factory farms in the other video, we'd all starve when our soil and water was poisoned to the point of not growing anything.

If we all lived like SOME liberals with our heads in the sand, ignoring where our food comes from, staying in the city and thinking things will work themselves out, we'd all keep going the way we're going.

If we all lived like SOME conservatives with our heads in the sand, ignoring where our food ends up, staying in the country and thinking things will work themselves out, we'd all keep going the way we're going.

Maybe somewhere in between is a place to start a conversation that leads to real solutions.

My nephew is one of the smartest people (IQ) I know - - - but is a staunch liberal and is always looking for a way to get just a little more pot

He has a 9 to 5 job and makes good money but can never pay my son the rent due - - - always ranting about the rich pissing down a trickle on the opressed heads of people like him. He feels we should pay him to mow the yard where he lives as we own it not him!

Last week I kind of blew my top and told him to find another place to live as we were tired of taking advantage of him. My son wants to give him another chance.

My son is 2 years younger (31 ) and owns one farm outright and mortages on two more, almost no equipment debt and has become the biggest dealer in east central Indiana for a major seed company.

My nephew constantly crys that he is older and should have more than my son. I tell him nothing was given to my son and that if he worked 1/2 as hard he could be a success as well - - - he feels contemplating the world thru pot filled eyes is more important. A high IQ does not mean much compared to a good work ethic!

Ya know you might find a conservative who ignores where their food ends up. But I'll be danged if I know of a conservative who ignores where their food ends up. I think that brush is too wide that you are painting conservatives with

I'm of the mindset that conservatives let enough food end up somewhere else to care for and defend their families, friends, and communities... We will have have enough to eat if we can defend it!

Larrry, my comment in that regard was that SOME conservatives ignore where their food ends up. Not ALL of them, SOME of them.

And in saying so, I meant that too many of us have farmed for years with no thought given to where it goes, which ultimately is on a plate in front of other people and their children. When you keep that in your mind with everything you grow/raise on the farm, it really makes you more aware of what you're doing, and why you're doing it.

I try to be completely honest with all potential buyers, and tell how our cattle have been raised, handled, and vaccinated up until the time of sale. We are careful to give all shots in the neck, and closely moniter all recommended vaccine withdrawal times. We do everything possible to keep our livestock gentle and calm. At the time of sale my conscience is clear. I don't feel that it is my responsibility, or any of my business, to tell future buyers how to handle the cattle from that point forward.

I see what you are saying PC however I stand by that I don't know any conservatives that ignore the food they produce or the image they put out on fact I see a couple of guys here that don't care what the consumers think and they are liberals.
I constantly do things not only because the image we portray to the public but mainly because it is the right thing Not just the cattle and farming aspect but of things we conservatives do for the community
I've noticed that conservatives here have a tendency to take the bull by the horns and do the right thing. While the liberals have a tendency to go out in the community and ask for help so they can do something They don't just do it they ask for others to do a little like a comunity organizer
I hope you understand where I am coming from in my words and observations
