Everyone has personal opinion when it comes to music. Myself, I don't even turn on the radio 99% of the time. I just enjoy the peace and quiet.

Oh my. They are two very different songs. Sneaky Snake is just fun. The other is cute but more serious. Never thought of little ducks

I am pretty much the same. No radios, or other sources of music. The best music is listening to hounds run a track.
 
My hearing is so bad, it bothers me when there is noise in the background (even with hearing aids.)
When I worked at a little local paper, the girls in the back had the radio going constantly. I would catch up
my work at noon when they weren't there, and I would turn it OFF. I was the salesperson, so I didn't have to
be there all the time.
Another one, I worked for a little local shopper and had to stay late at night to finish up. This was back
in '02* šŸ¤£ and the owners listened classical music. I finally told them that if I was locked up and had to
listen to classical music, I would kill someone. That's how it made me feel.

*back in the days of the dinosaur...šŸ¤£

A step Uncle was playing some weird stuff like Beethoven when I walked into my Aunts house one day. I told him I couldn't
listen to that type of music it made me want to start throwing furniture and tearing things up. He genuinely looked
terrified and shut the darn stuff off.

My dad used to listen to classical music, I hated it!!!

I like Country Music but it depends on who is singing it. I don't care for the new country music. Give me some
Alan Jackson, George Strait, Vince Gill.
If I veer off a little bit, I really like some of Collin Rayes songs; some of the Mavericks. Have you heard of
Wylie and the Wild West Show? He is a hoot and can really sing AND yodel. He made his money yodeling for YAHOO.
Oh and Lacy J. Dalton. She has an old CD called "Last Wild Place." She created the album "The Last Wild Place" when she faced issues with her recording company in Nashville, which prevented her from recording the songs she wanted. This album was made in her own recording studio and reflects her desire to express her artistic vision independently. 2 songs stood out to me--
Little Boy Blue and She Could Run. But they are all good, just different.

She made this song for her son because she was gone from home so much.

I have listened to Alan Jackson, but I listen to more of George Strait I like his song Every Little Honky Tonk Bar and Codigo. I've also heard of Lacy j Dalton songs, but I haven't heard she could run until now,

I was only allowed to practice it in the barn while doing chores. I wasn't a good singer, but I did get the auctioneer part down, since I was a fast talker. Sadly I lost interest during my teens and didn't keep up practicing.

A shame to hear you lost interest in it. I for one would trip up way to much if I had to speak fast. As for the singing aspect I can admit I am also a stinker at it, but I do enjoy doing it around partner. One of my favorite songs is Simple Man by Charlie Daniels

When it comes to peace and quiet part I like to sit in a lawn chair and watch the trees, the land, and the sky. While it may seem boring to others it's relaxing to see how so much can change with time.
 
My Granddad used to tell me that he liked to go fishing in the Winter on warmer days around 2 to 4pm.He would say you get your tacklebox,rod and real and you find you a nice grassy slope on the East side of the creek where the northeast wind will zoom over your head and not bother you much.A nice place where you can throw out a line.Then he would say "and don't forget the most important thing" and I would say "what's that" and he would answer back "make sure you don't have any bait on your hook"

Don't have a hook on the end of your line. Some fish might swim by and snag itself. Who wants a stupid fish interrupting your peace and quiet.
