Thanks VB RANCH for the compliment. There were 250 head in the bunch that these heifers came from. The 200 that went to Minnesota are supposedly the biggest and best, if my sorting ability is up to snuff. They will all be for sale in the fall as bred heifers, provided that the bulls have done their job properly. With the abundant rain northern Minnesota has been getting this summer, the bred heifer market in your area might be better than down here where the drought is having such an impact. It you need any, keep this in mind. :wink:

there's and old myth ( lack of a better term ) in the cattle world
that you can't take cattle from here and put them
on dry grass, or take cattle from dry grass
and put them on our washy grass, with out some adjustment
time on the cattle's part
it will be inneresting to me to see how these
cattle do on our bullfrog alfalfa
we do have some good market's for all types of cattle
in this country, it seems

It will be interesting to see how these heifer perform in the Land of Lakes, on the different type of grass. Our Noble neighbors that left the Sandhills back in the 1960's to go to your area to ranch probably faced some challenges as well.
