Just their annual event, consisting of team penning, good food, good music, and games and contests for the kids. It is always a fun time. This year, the weather was a bit hot but a stiff wind kept it from becoming unbearable.

Sod house Sunday usually is a day that we all take in. It consists of entertainment, kids games, and team penning. It's a fun day to take in as a family and has something for about anyone. Last year (I can't speak for this year as I wasn't there due to the fact two people on this place were recovering from some doc and dentist visits) the grounds were emaculate. It's also fun to tour the house that is rich in history and beautiful china and such.

This year the team penning competition was definatly down usually it's full and my understanding is it wasn't even half full. I wonder why they didn't calcutta the teams as in the past?

You look mighty fine on that ole mule! I've always wanted to go to the sodhouse but it hasn't worked out yet...It's still on my "to do before I'm old" list... :wink: Hubby has a hat with a mule on it that says "Someday" and someday he'll own one too! Glad you had a good time!
