I finally had time to upload pictures (thanks to the rain :D :D ) So these are from the last month or so.

Taking the cows to Thief Valley (leased property). A rest stop at the bottom of the hill

This is why they can only go up the trail one or two at a time (and the trail is WAY better than it used to be!)

Nice photo's,would be fun to ride through that country just once. Most likely never will but it would be different than here for sure.

Awesome pictures! For us sandhillers, your trails looks scary! My kid is working up in Dubois WY this summer, and his first experience riding a mt. horse on trails like that was in a snow storm...he said he just had to trust the horse and they made it ok...He did comment on how different it is to ride a horse that knows rocks and hard trails, compared to ours who only have to watch out for gopher holes and soapweeds...Not sure I'd like that kind of riding...Thanks for posting them...

I love Oregon so a special thanks for posting your pictures. However the Oregon I travel has a lot more trees!

Neat pictures! You do live in beautiful country. If you ever need a home for Dolly, just let me know  . You must have pretty tough dogs to travel that terrain.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks everyone :) We're moving the cows today so will have new pictures to post. We were able to leave them in the first pasture over a month...last year we couldn't use that pasture due to no water. So we are very thankful this year!

Cowsense - The bulls are homeraised (all but two, and they are our least favorite).

CattleArmy - I wish our part of Oregon had more trees

Jassy - riding here definately takes some getting used to, we'd start you out slow :)

WyRancher - it does take some pretty tough dogs, that's why I'm needing a puppy. Dolly gets awfully sore after a long day of those rocks.

W. Montana is very rocky...especially where we lived.

Our old neighbor was visiting with someone he had never met at a bull sale. The stranger mentioned that on some ridges he had rocks.

Our neighbor kinda grinned and replied, "I have rocks everywhere it seems, but some ridges I don't have any."

Dogs get tired but seem to want to go the next day..Especially if you rotate them and they see the others "getting to go"....... To have an ounce of the ambition of a cowdog....

Thanks for Sharing Nicky,

Edited to say...It is my Sunday Rotation at church...I was up trying to think of a Stewardship Message for Church and Struggling..... Your Dogs gave me an idea and inspiration. I will share it later, but wanted to say Thanks....
