Quite possibly the winner of the ugliest calf contest

C'mon Ma, I'm hungry

The two cows that have ridden the bike with me.

You don't bother me and my Ma won't bother you.

Piggy-back or Cattle-back?

A homespun bull prospect for next year

Last but not least, "The Lambulance"
It was cold here this morning and a set of twins needed to be warmed up.

Nice pictures :) I think the ugly calf is rather cute. The second cow who 'rode the bike' with you looks like she'd still like to ride with you  Is that really bare ground or just where you've been feeding?

It's great when the snow melts and we can find all that stuff that was missing all winter. Are those calf huts or dog houses? How is the Mrs?

Good thrifty mountain operation gcreek,i like your use of pole construction.Cows look good, calves are hardy looking little critters, when the snow melted here, i found a couple projects i had'nt seen in six months  they wintered well though. Thanks for the pics 8)

Our snow is mostly gone here but there are white flakes floating on the breeze this morning.

Per....Those are dog-houses, mostly unused since our last human son moved out. Mrs goes for a CT scan on May 11, still pretty sore.

Yes it is nice to find all the things you meant to pick up or haul away before it snowed last fall.

Soapweed, our Sandhill Cranes got back this week, apparently you missed getting hold of these ones legs as no-one showed up at the house for coffee. :( :D

Thanks for your comments gang. :D

Your cattle look great, calves are sure growing good :D . I don't think that calf is very ugly... he's a lot prettier than my brisket calf that made the dump this week.

Tell Mrs. Gcreek I hope she gets completely healed up soon! Blasted mean cows anyhow!

Glad to see all's well in the wilds of B.C. Hope to be up to visit in the not too distant future. How many ewes are left to lamb?

You wait another week and they should be done. There are 13 left.

Are you really serious about taking a trip to hell froze over??? Get on up here, bring some batteries, inverter, wiring, knowledge, and your cracked sense of humour and leave the desert behind for a while. :D

Lambulance...LOL

Personally I love the ugliest calf, too cute!!

The piggy backer, looks like he-shes milkin mom for all shes worth.

Thx for the pics Dave :)

I plan to wait til ALL the chores are done up there! :D Then you'll have more time to take me hunting and looking and goofin' off! You live in a glorious, gorgeous spot on a ranch most folks would pay money to visit! Not me, but most folks! I'd love to bring a truck full of smuggled American electrical contraband and spend a month wiring your system. But you'd get sick of me in 2 or 3 hours! Plus, i may take to your country and move in, lock stock and barrell! Nobody wants or needs that!

You wouldn't be the first Yankee that moved into that country. :D

Who you callin' Yankee? We desert dwellers have a strong dislike of the Yankees! Atleast in baseball! :P Maybe we should hold a Ranchers.net raffle to see where I relocate! I think i would be a natural at posing frozen coyotes and growing a bushy mustache!
