Here are some photos of cows that I took when we AI'd last month. The sun didn't cooperate like I would have liked but you get the jist anyway.

This little lady is an open embryo transplant heifer that will be in the Santa Sale, she has a full sister that will be at Denver. Her sire is VGW Rattler 908 and her dam is a Coppertop daughter out of a Barney cow.

Here is one of the bulls that we have been using on our heifers. So far he is doing a great job. I got to see his dam again this past week and she is quite the cow.

Don't look like they are lacking for groceries

This has been a great year for cows with all the grass from the early rains...I hauled a cow to the sale the other day that had lost her calf to a coyote...She was as fat as I have ever saw a cow...My guess was she would weigh about 1450-- did she shock me...Weighed 1650 lbs and brought $950....
I've got another one just like her that I decided to keep and butcher...Don't think I need to give her any grain, just got to get the deep freezers empty enough so she'll fit....

In my travels, I sure have seen cows in great condition, though none any better than those you pictured. They do look great!!

And that's a Milk Creek Red bull isn't it? Bruce and TenaKetchum are such fine, hardworking folks and I'm proud to say, one of our customers. They are such austute Red Angus breeders.

Milk Creek are great people. Great friends as well.

When we select our herd bulls we try to select the kind that have easy fleshing parents and are full of performance. They are also the kind that will do it in the pasture or feedlot and even though we use EPDs, we don't put near as much emphasis on them as some. By doing this it seems that our cattle are real easy fleshing.

Miss Lark has that stylish new ' short hair cut' look that is in fashion this year!!!!

She's a tank!

Lookin' good Bryan....

Stop the next time you're in the country...it's been awhile!

Tell the Mrs hello for me.

Cheers---
