what I liked about those larger huts,u didn't have to bed them down in the winter.just put a large bale of straw in front of them,the sows packed it in themselves and made their own bed.next morn all u could see was snouts and eye balls. :lol:
 
I have also used some larger metal framed, ply cladded "Sow Barns" which can be towed or collapsed by pulling out corner pins, I will look for the photos and scan them again, they came out rather small the last time.

Plus it gives them something to do. I think this type of housing is great as well. I'm going to try and set something like this up now.
