You have to pick a horse that you like, can handle and will do what you want it to.
I think FH and I both thought you wanted a horse to use and figured a stallion would be trouble. if your planning a breeding program and have the facilities go for it.

BMR is right, I thought exactly what he said...so if you want a stallion you won't get the opportunity any younger.

I just can't get excited about an Arabian stallion; but that is just me.
I sure wouldn't want to try and talk anyone out of something they have their heart set on.

from the two you posted I would go with the grey. The bay seems a bit more high strung.
Also from the amount of pics you seem to like the grey better..........

I would suggest getting a mare or gelding to get a feel of an arab before you get a stud.

Thanks HM. I've got quarter horses for tending the cattle though as I've mentioned somewhere here, we mainly use them for moving the cattle around on the ranch....very little roping, cutting, etc. My cattle are very tame. At daybreak I can pull two hundred animals out of 5 different corrals and at the end of the day, they'll all walk back to the same corral they left in the morning.

With my bermuda sales I'm coming into greater contact with folks who have some decent horses and I suspect there will be opportunities in the future to make some "high end" horse sales as well.

Again, nothing's set in stone. I'm merely exploring ideas and trying to learn.

Actually some of the best horses I've rode have been arab/cross... I even did some endurance riding.... Are they Polish or Russian arabs?? Use to be the Russian horses where better, but I don't know now if that's true or not.....
