We pulled cows off 1000 acre pasture we just started renting last year...

Dad is 81 and decided he wanted to ride. He put 15+ miles on that day, but left the big riding for me. Hard to believe how much 2 horses saves. A few days this summer I put on 30+ miles when I was alone.
The next day we brought pairs home from where we staged them the day before. -15C and Dad decided to drive. Our neighbour Dale helped.

Processed calves (booster, ivomec) then put them back out with the cows and moved them to grass. Will wean in a couple of weeks.
We put in a new Tru-Test scale and an ArrowQuip hydraulic squeeze. It is fantastic and very quiet. After processing I sent an email of weights to the feedlot and will price calves this Friday.

A lot better than the 12" of snow in October. The grain guys were pretty stressed out for September/October. We had more rain in 48 hours in September than we had all year. Had some greenfeed down for 6 weeks. Crazy fall.

An Aussie that worked here last year spent the summer in Irma. He was here for a week during weaning and preg test and is back there now clearing land. He plans to be home by Christmas.

He had quite a few weather stories.
