Time to wean that heifer from last year. Must have been a good cross as she is much bigger than her dam!

Just what that poor little 3 yr old needed....some old cow sucking on her when she's not doing so hot at maintaining her flesh already.

Which one are you going to cull? The robber, or the one letting her get away with it?
Shoot her in the face with some pepper spray (bear spray) when you catch her. I have seen that work well enough.
I just missed a picture one year of two Angus heifers sucking each other after weaning their calves.
I had a couple nice captions picked out, and was bummed to have missed it.

I was thinking the same thing Badlands.. What is worse, the cow doing it or the other cow letting her do it.. The ones who let it happen tend to cull themselves as their bags blow up. I had two heifers I caught doing it last year and lo and behold they both came up empty and looking like crap in the fall.. Can't imagine why.. I find it irritating as heck, generally the older cows don't let it happen but that doesn't mean they don't try to do it.
