Son Got A Deer

My son and I have been hunting off and on for a majority of the hunting season, but with the daylight and wind trouble haven't had much luck.
Well yesterday his Dad took him out and he got his first deer.
I was busy elsewhere so I wasn't there.

From what I heard he took 3 shots, but hit the deer twice in the chest. Turns out that some other person had already shot her in the butt, but he was too happy to really care.
Not the buck I wanted for him, but maybe next year.

Good on him-I was 18 before I shot my first deer so he's got a head start.

Finishing off somebody else's screwup is always the right thing to do, anyway. He can feel good about that.
