My son has decided he wants to learn to bow hunt. So for Christmas I got him a bow.

Now I don't know much about bow hunting. I asked for help on cattletoday and got different responses. Some shared good info and was also told he was too young and don't waste the money.
Figured if he didn't like it I could have his bow and hunt with it
myself. :D
Does anybody on here bow hunt?
Now the bow above I was told will kill an animal. The weight goes from 29# to 70#.

How old and how strong is he-that bow seems to have alot of draw weight adjustment-I'd take it and your son to a bow shop and get them to set it up for him. Bows are easy to shoot well if set up right-impossible if not. ty was killing deer at 12 with his.

Nice bow,let us know when he plugs his first deer. This bow will certainly do the job.My two daughters still shoot with recurve bows.No hunting yet,but soon.Have to get them a couple compounds.

NR the weight on it is at 29# right now. It can be increased clear up to 70#.
Son is 11.
We had looked at other bows and he couldn't draw them back. Found out that they were set at 60#-70#
I could draw the 60#, but could not get the 70# back all the way.

fun fun fun.. my first bow was a little "brave" bow i was probably 4or 5 years old, out grew it after the basics were learned, upgraded, and have been "liven the dream" ever since. (pardon the Ted Nugent). :)
