Sorting pairs

I have used that idea for reuniting pairs after branding. Slpit the cows into their respective heards for breeding in two adjacent pens, with that style of gate between the two pens, return calves to the cows with about half the calves going to each pen. Inside a couple of hours almost everybody will be paired up.

That is very impressive. I am now scheming on how to incorporate this into our setup.

I didn't know we knew some of the same 'cattlemen.'

I really liked the video and how easy the cattle worked. Mr. FH has
been helping an ailing neighbor and hasn't got to see it yet.

I know their cousins cause they put them over the gate. Might be a stupid question but what does he mean by 2 stage weaning???

They use the nose blabs (Quiet Wean) for a couple of weeks pre-weaning (stage 1) then pull the calves (stage 2).
