this ranch has never bought an angus bull. last year the fella that bought my yearling feeder heifers on video asked if i would expose them for 21 days. i didn't really want to do it but he offered some more cash and gave me money to buy a couple black bulls i could just keep. so i bought a couple bulls from a guy up north of cutbank raising a handful of bulls that had owned a few of mine and this is the one i have left.

crumby picture - but he is a nice bull. this guy runs them pretty much the same and this bull has been with mine since Dec 1st. real heavy dense fog off and on for the last week 10 days - hope the old wives tail holds true.

couple other bulls just for the heck of it

this might sound stupid but the other one had warts on his neck and head. maybe they just stick out really bad on a black hide - but i never see warts on the cattle here and i was afraid to keep him around

i don't remember the bloodline but the name Precision seems to stick for some reason - I don't have a clue... is that an angus bloodline?

why?

Precision 1680 has some genetic defects that trace back to him. Although his offspring can be tested free of the defect, a lot of producers won't use them, myself included. I kinda figure why introduce the possibility on purpose. Hope he works well for you and the cows. :D Herefords are sure pretty!

not that he doesn't look like a good bull, but G A R Precision 1680 is AMC, and NHC positive, (Curly Calf & Water Head). A terminal cross would be as far as I'd go with him and if he does have Precsion I don't know how many Angus guys would want him... but thats just my opinion....really like your Hereford bulls as well

sorry - i was just playin.... I know the angus cattle better than that. its just fun for a hereford guy to get people talkin about angus defects.

hmmm? how do i set up the next one....

although i really can't remember how the bull is bred - i'll have to ask them again.

okay so you're a BRAT!!!!! good one though!

Dejavu I've never heard that about Precision cattle...are you speaking from personal experience or just hearsay?

Heckuva deep-bodied set of bulls. Like the profile pic of the Angus, any reason why you didn't get a profile of the Herf's? I'd like to see that if you got it.

i had taken the picture of the black bull as an afterthought as i was walking out of there - i turned around and he was just standing like that.... harder to get them to stand like that when you want a nice picture of something.

in the picture of the second hereford bull - can you see the tip of a horn off to the top right corner. if i had moved any further right that bull would have been in my way and the bull in the picture didn't want his picture taken too bad and it was the best stance i could get him in

the other one - i guess i just didn't notice... i'll try and remember that - what would you see different from more straight broadside or profile. now just thinking about it i think i always kind of get slightly behind them or to the front
