The kids have been out'a school this past week for spring break. Our yearly moisture total is around 12 inches of water so you won't hear me complaining but ya might hear two kids grumble a tad. Here they are out jumping on the trampoline on a fine spring day this past Thursday.
We ended up with 6 or 7 inches of beautiful WET snow. Perfect for building late March snowmen after some brisk trampoline jumping.
Here's a picture of a couple of cool cats! Littlest H was throwing snowballs at the cats. Most would run and some would chase the missed snowballs. He's not superstiscious or else he wouldnt associate with black cats during a March snow storm.
Today, the local PTA (Parent/teacher association) put on the annual Easter egg hunt which was really just a boatload of candy scattered over the 5 acre school yard. The Thursday snow had melted as spring snow usually does but we did get another half inch last night. So the kids loaded up the dogsled and headed over to collect some free range candy.
Littlest H searching for lost loot! I told the gals they should'a just hid white eggs. It would of been the worlds longest egg hunt.
You might live in a really small town when the baseball feild is grassed with crested wheat! Little H out amongst the grazing finding rabbit leavings!
She is a fine Easter egg gathering Gal. She also just started piano lessons and is taking to it like you wouldnt believe! The girl really can play. I sure am glad she takes after her Mother!
The friction of lots of excited little feet searching for treasure melts a lot of snow. The kids cleaned up and should be well stocked til Halloween! Hope Ya'll enjoy the Day tomorrow. Enjoy the candy and baskets. Enjoy your family. And take more than a moment to remember that the Tomb was empty! Be Blessed my good ranchers friends!
