Spring fling

Spent a long weekend with the family in SE Utah hunting turkeys and setting up a bear bait for a friend. Sure is pretty country. Rolled in and set up the camp trailer

We rode the trails prospecting for turkeys. Had a great time

Staked out a few meadows and tried calling. Turkeys would answer but not commit to coming in. Didn't get any birds but sure had fun trying.

My hunting partner was littlest H. The girls wanted to relax at camp. He looked a little sleepy on this particular morning

Got the bear bait set up and percolating. Hope a big old boar enjoys the fixings and my buddy thumps him.

Great time with the family. Loved every minute. Y'all make sure ya take time now and then to do what ya enjoy with your own bunches.

I could shoot a turkey most mornings off the quad going out to change the irrigation. But the wife likes them so they get to live. They are supposed to be hard on rattle snakes so having a bunch fo them around is a good thing.
Some friends from the coast came over for four days. They brought their quads and want to ride up in the hills. On Friday we saw a big cinnamon bear. Turned out to be a sow with 2 black yearling cubs. Always fun to see wildlife that you don't see very often.
