spring

A flock of homeward bound Canadian honkers went by this morning. If they deployed their parachutes over southern Idaho they may have got landed near Sweden.

I heard a turkey gobble across the river this morning.....................

Was so far off sounded like he WAS in Sweden.

Miserable as the weather is, signs of spring are out there, too. Local TV showed photo's of Bald Eagles on the Big Sioux River where they stop a while on their way further north. Pretty impressive birds! One had a little problem slipping on the icy river. There was more open water than I expected, cold as it is.

We have those buzzards here year 'round, although come calving time their numbers do seem to increase. Never had a problem with them, they just make me nervous perched up in the trees looking down on things.
