Stolen Cattle

There was 26 head of cattle stolen Monday night at a local sale barn. The barn is localed on a major state hiway and still got hit. Watch your livestock. :twisted:

Wow. That theft had to take some time to pull off. Amazing.

Down here most "thefts" of cattle involve killing the animal and butchering it on the spot to steal the major portions of meat.

The generally-accepted action by the cattle owner if he finds someone in one of his pastures slicing up one of his animals is to.......well.......make sure they willl never do it again.

The funny thing is they cut the lock off then put it back along with the gates just like they was. The owner of the sale barn didn't even notice it until they went to load out some cattle and the lock fell off. The Texas Rangers, Southwest Cattle Rangers, and local law will be out for blood on this guys or gals. The prices yesterday was wild to with 500 lb calves topping at 168.00 per hundred weight.

That's a lot cheaper and more effective court system than most of the rest of the world.
