That's a good looking gal, but that 'ol saddle tramp next to her kind of ruins the picture!

I was out bright and early this morning too, not working like you were, but out to pop a few geese. It was cool and still and plenty white - but very peaceful and clean. I had to say a little "Thank you" to the good Lord for putting me in the Sandhills.

I'm just thankful she puts up with the likes of an old geezer like me. :-)

It was a pretty morning. The lack of wind made it seem "special."

Two things I enjoy most on ranchersnet, Shortgrass's Sunday morning and Soapweeds pictures.

Soapweed, I thought your chuckwagon was a Dodge. You must have two of them equiped the same way.

Wish I had a picture of my Aunt Lavern in NE Kansas. I believe Peachblossom is her clone.

Thanks, efb. With our chuckwagons, we have a "his" and a "hers." We were both in her outfit yesterday morning. (P.S. I like mine best. )

Tell your Aunt Lavern "hi" for me. I like her already, sight unseen. :-)

Ok...Soapweed...I want you to tell us that you went with Peachblossom to help chop ice that morning...lol Being the true gentlemans cowboy that you are....I know that's why you were with her....I think your Christmas card picture is just perfect! It has been a little chilly hasn't it? Great sunrise picture you got too...Thanks as always...

I tell ya'..... one just has to love those quiet, crisp, winter mornings......That is my favorite part of the year....feeding cows on a skiff of snow and frozen ground.
Classy couple

Also, are your grouse the same as our prarie chickens in the flint hills ?

These birds are sharptailed grouse, slightly different than prairie chickens.

Nice pic's and really nice of you and Peach Blossom. Is that the one that you picked? Who took the photo, and who took the one of you with the feed wagon? Did you run and get in front of the camera? :P

Wow, like that purple neck scarf too. Bet Peach picked that one out!

The pasture picture was provided by Peach. She just ran hard to get into the picture after she clicked the clicker. The other photo was taken by our son who has the welding shop.

You are making me feel a little guilty dad, or was that what you were trying to accomplish? You aren't making it easy for me to be away from home when you take pictures like the ones you just posted.

It is very tempting to just come home and say "good-bye" to another semester at Sheridan College...

Soapweed, How big is your bulk bin and where did it come from? I would like to see pic's of it being filled sometime if you could get them. What is your cake costing this yr? Hang in there Kosmo. They will last a 'few' more yrs. You'll have a lifetime to ranch and you won't regret getting your education.

Enjoy your self at college Kosmo . It's not really that long and your college days are something you will cherish for the rest of your life.
Your Dad mentions all the time about how much fun he's having and you wouldn't want to depriive him of that. :-)

Hang in there, Sonny. College days are your glory days, and they don't last for long. Enjoy them while you can, but don't forget to learn something while you are there. We know you are getting good grades and soaking up a lot of knowledge. We are proud of you.

Have a great day. :-)

Ditto that!!!! :D
Kosmo, enjoy your college days and remember that college isn't there to teach you everything you will need to know...it's there to teach you how to learn and think for yourself. You have lived with two good mentors for that and you will do fine. As Haymaker would say, Good Luck!!! :)
