Sunday's sermon was "Forgive Your Enemies." Toward the end of the service the minister asked, "How many of you have forgiven your enemies?"
80% held up their hands.
The minister then repeated his question. "How many of you have forgiven your enemies?"
All responded this time except one small, elderly lady.
The paster looked at her and said: "Mrs. Jones, are you not willing to forgive your enemies?"
"I don't have any enemies," she replied, smiling sweetly.
The pastor couldn't believe this. "Mrs. Jones, that is very unusual. How old are you?"
"Ninety-eight," she replied.
"Well...Mrs. Jones," asked the pastor, "would you please come down to the front of the church and tell all of the rest of us how a person can live to ninety-eight years of age and not have an enemy in the world?"
The little sweetheart of a lady slowly made her way out of the pew, then fragily tottered down the aisle and stood to face the congregation.
The pastor looked at her and asked, "Well, Mrs. Jones? How on earth is it that a person can live a life of 98 years without having one single enemy in the world?"
She smiled and very matter-of-factly said, "I outlived the b-tches."
The congregation howled as the minister was forced to cover his face and turn away!
