I got a call this morning that a close friend I've worked with for years died of covid late last night in Florida. It's sure been a tough morning. Allen was a fine man and always had an easy grin and a love of life. I'll miss him. I was hurting and feeling mad. And then I happened to look east. To me, it was a small message that God knows what's best and all will be alright

I feel like we've had a funeral twice a month for a year. Sure hard losing good folks

Yesterday in church the pastor announced that a lady had passed away this week. I heard the wife gasp and felt her flinch. This was the couple we first sat next to when we started attending this church. The wife got to be friends with this lady. We lost track of them when the pandemic hit. After the service she went to find out more details. The lady died of covid in the hospital in Boise. Her husband came down with it first. He is in the hospital on a ventilator and not doing well.
