I've got to be in Casper at 1:00 for a an appointment at the doc. Then in the morning I have to deliver a horse to Faith, S.D.for a border collie im trading for. He's supposed to be out of a more aggressive line. Most border collies won't work for me, but I was assured that he wasn't the norm. Supposedly already started fairly good and fairly aggressive. The guy is from Aberdeen and lost his job at a feedlot that allowed dogs. We've got a couple or three inches of the white stuff that could sure go away today

Good luck on your journey and good luck with your Border Collie.
I know there are some like you described and those would be what
would work for us.

We came back from SD Saturday via Sundance and Hulett, Wy.
We thought we had snow. :shock: It's really deep around Hulett;
and going down there was snow from here almost to Belle Fourche
on hwy 323. Speaking of which, they have turned that dirt road into
a very nice highway. 2 hours now from Baker to Belle Fourche. :D

Drive safe, BAR BAR 2. Hope you get a good report from the doctor.

Uhhuh.

Well, I was supposed to head to Faith, S.D. tomorrow, but t he weather has put my trip on hold. We've got too much going on the rest of the week so I'm going on Saturday. Is there anyone in that area that I could maybe meet up with to see who I'm talking to?

Snow just started in Calgary, they are calling for snow, every day the rest of the week.

that's too bad about your trip, getting a new dog is like Christmas eve, when you were a kid. Have you been counting "big sleeps", the last few nights? :P

Honestly, I was looking more forward to getting rid of the horse. Ihave 3 3yrolds and 1 2yr old to get started. This broke back aint conducive to breaking colts. We went to Casper to the work comp doc yesterday and she said on a scale of 1-10 of disability, I'm somewhere around a 7, maybe a tad more. She said the part the surgeon fixed won't ever mess up, but the disc and vertebra on each side will continually get worse and degenerate. Pretty depressing day. I've got good blooded young horses for sale though. She said all I can lift from now on is 50#. Hell, my saddle weighs as much or more than that. Don't know about work yet either. She sad they may send me back to school or write me a check to get my welding and blacksmithing business off the ground. I've been buying several welders hoping to start a business once I got healed along with doing a little day labor. She said each was an option as long as I had help. Real ego boost. Oh well, maybe they will send me to school to be a helicopter pilot or a government worker. No way in hell that I'll over work myself doing that.
