I was building fence yesterday when I heard them honking, those ole geese had em a perfect V and was headed due North................good luck

Around here were covered in 10"s of white stuff and it ain't sand.So Haymaker did you have to build a fire to drive the frost out of the ground to dig yer post hole's.

Coyotes are mating.....Hills are alive with the sound of music- and romantic singing....

Spring?? Wellll, yesterday it was -15C here with a very stiff northerly wind that drove the cold right through everything. Not fit for man or beast, someone said it felt like the coldest day of the winter. Cows were humpy backed and immobile except for feeding time. Still cold today, but just a light wind.

Spring somewhere???

Just 6 weeks to calving though!!

Well, that's about what it's like right here.

We listened to rain pounding on the roof last night.  Not a bad thing, except that it's now coated everything in ice and it was falling on to a couple of feet of snow.

Our first birds back in the spring are crows, but we haven't seen them yet, so it ain't quite over 'till it's over. It won't be long though, you can feel it in the air.

dry as a empty water bucket.

Spent the last 3 days re-setting gate posts etc.

Using the augers, anywhere from 4' to 6' deep....and we were pulling up wet soppy clay at that depth, even on the hillsides.

So, I'd say the drought for GA is over!!!!

Kola, calling a drought over is a pretty big statement :)

Spring is slow this year. Pears bloom at my house in mid Feb. but this year they are just getting started. About 3 weeks late.
