I am not at all opposed to a good discussion. In fact, if you talk to my family, they will volunteer that I tend to go looking to start an argument merely for the entertainment of debate. But I don't think going off the deep end is ever needed.

I will maintain my opinion of certain posters, be it good or bad, but I refuse to resort to name calling or to throw decency out the window. Since I've gotten a little older, there are few or no high school kids posting on Ranchers, and I intend to make it look that way. Intelligent conversation can be acheived by everyone, but one must decide to do so.

I fall into the same category.... I had to get rid of Facebook for that very reason...well, that and Kola kept asking to be my friend so she could look at my pics....she is a stalker.
 
You won't go wrong taking the high road MYT.

Going in the ditch can't be avoided at times but it never keeps one from gaining the road again.

That's the reason I never go to political bull anymore. You're not going to change anyones mind and it's just plain aggrevating. Life's too short to argue with idiots. Usually ranch talk is free of that type of dialog but some people can't resist I guess. Keep up the good work myt.
 
I was always told not argue with a fool because an outsider can't tell the difference.

I thought myself and Nortexsook and Pure Country were having a very civil and even friendly debate about our industry. Though our perspectives were from different side of the issue, i kinda thought we kept the name calling out and actually just discussed the topic. In fact, i have conversed with both fine fellars via PM and we all are on good terms. If ya'll thought we were out'a line or shouldnt of been visiting in ranch talk about what's kind of a political (slightly) topic, i am sorry. :?

I think it is good to have the debate here, it is about the Ranching segment. Wee need those debate but we must always remember we are in this together.

I think the tone of the debates are encouraged over in political. Why else would you have a moderator in the past who was master of insults. it's no big deal though. it is what it is and if we can't deal with it we aren't forced to go to politcal

no I shut it down of my own decisions, and I never threatened the President. I made a blanket statement towards all Muslims. and I stand by that statement. I have every right to, as long as I term it correctly. Should the Muslims ever try to force their beliefs on us, I will defend what is mine, and my family with deadly force.
