Well aren't you the bearer of glad tidings OT. :-) On the bright side it is 52 degrees warmer tonite, than it was last night at this time. It is 25 ABOVE here now. This am it was officially 38 below about 25 miles SE of here. Brrr. We were only -16. Balmy.

Just looking forward to tomorrow.

Already down to -4 right now.. Still have a calf inside, she just isn't bouncing back very good :???:  ONly been 34 hours of treatment so I am still hopefull she will bounce back, afterall she is still breathing.. Just wish she would complain a bit more vocally.

I am looking forward to my promised heatwave.. Got the shorts out of storage for those high 20's they are promising for the weekend... Hope I don't get a sunburn.

I'm sorry Tap-- Figured that would just make your day...We are getting what the weather boys call a "wintry mix" right now-- freezing rain that turned to snow -- temp is still 19- supposed to stay about 10 tonite and get to mid 30's tomorrow but more snow...The good news is we aren't supposed to be getting the wind South eastern Montana and the Dakotas are-- so won't get the blizzard conditions....

What a mixed up country this is. The temp. is now 37 deg., just before 4 AM, the wind is howling at 47mph. gusts to 56 and it is RAINING!

Go figure. Hope the livestock can take this ok. That makes it now 75 degrees warmer in this general area than it was yesterday morning.

Oh, did I mention the blizzard warning we have today.

Yep- Tap, 36 degrees here at 4:30AM--25mph NW wind blowing...No snow or rain now--only got a skiff during the night--still predicting snow thru noon... Maybe the Chinook is here....

The wind hit here around 9:30 but we'd had some rain around 4:30 and it is presently +36 above we were -33 yesterday morning. Got a lot of bare spots showing already along the creek banks.
Did anyone happen to watch the Rapid City news stations, where Usta, north of Faith was -40 below yesterday morning, and 7 months earlier they'd hit +120, now that is quite a temp change. So the climate in western South Dakota varies 160 degrees.
A guy sure learns to appreciate the days of in between weather, especially when the wind isn't blowing 60 mph. :) I sure enjoyed both of those days last year!

It got down to 10 here last night. 10 isn't as cold as it gets here but it's still pretty cool for us. I have seen it close to -20 once. Usually in a bad year on the coldest it gets to negative single digits.

Wet snow, warm and windy here. Not bad at all outside.
We had some snow, but not snowing now.

I'm kind of enjoying it actually.

Sounds like it could get worse towards evening, but
so far it isn't as bad as they predicted.

Just glad we aren't calving. That puts a whole new light
on things.

Stay safe, everyone.

P.S. They did cancel a basketball tournament because of slick
roads. That NEVER happens, so the roads must be bad.
