They said on the news that this freezing rain and wet snow we are getting here tonite is generated from that same weather system.

Was over checking the kids that our new tenant brought with them who just kided the other day and all of the youngungs had found a place to settle in out of the rain, under an old dairy barn manger that we have.. Had, oh 15 of the little craps under there, snug as bugs in rugs (Wife bought some last year too but they are older), looking pretty darn cute actually.. Soon enough I am sure we will be chasing them all over the countryside.... What does this have to do with weather you ask? Rain... All we get is rain, which is really doing a wonder charging the soil.. Wish it would warm up a bit so the grass could take advantage of al this moisture... Of course, add heat to the moisture and you get bad storms, which is what is predicted for tomorrow afternoon.

Yeap....along about 3am this mornin I was awakened by the sound of Lightenin Strikin a big pine tree somewhere real close to the house. That kind of sound that makes you instantly come awake, and the hair on your arms are all standin on end. My first thought when that happens is always the horses. Ughhhh gives me the shivvers just thinkin bout it. It poured down rain for a good 4 hours, lightenin perdy steady then it turned to hail about 6 am. Seriously thought I's gonna have one of those stay at home Saturdays. But by 8:30 or 9 it was clearin up some, and we went ahead and hooked up the horse trailer, n loaded ole Toilet Paper, n we were off to the barrel races all day. Turned out to be a really nice day. Not hot, cuz it stayed cloudy all day, n not cold cuz there was very little wind. Got another 2 3/4 inches of rain....
