Played hockey when I was a kid in Lomond. That rink always seemed cold and the kids were tough. Back in my Simmental days I brought a few bulls home from just south of town.

They had heat in the dressing rooms and the bleachers except in some more distant rinks even back then. Thinking back it was most likely natural ice and the place must be kept cold.
