My sister's husband, their grandson and SIL from Australia were here for 2 days and we got the mudballs sheared again. My BIL was a shearer in his younger day but between his back and mine you wouldn't make a whole man. We call it the Guichon Creek Tag Team Shearing. While one is shearing a sheep the other can stand straight for a bit.
This year, everyone including our French Ag student had a go at shearing, hoping my sister's grandson will take up the family tradition and aleviate the work from 2 "old men".

Anyway, my leg apparently took a beating as it is complaining this morning. :(

We took Mathieu to the tame rodeo in Bella Coola last week. His first. I took him behind the chutes and showed him what the contractor and riders were doing. When they found out where he was from they all took a bit of time to explain a few things, it was great. He got educated a bit about how a flank works and spent a bit of time going over one to find there was no nails or barb wire in one to make the animal perform.
Mathieu said he took 200 pictures and a few videos of the day.
Now that he is initiated we are taking him to the Anahim Stampede this weekend. It can be pretty wild! Stay tuned.
