Was it the 13th yesterday?

Stopped to check over the discbine as everything had been going too well. 1 topcap had a little too much play so decided to change it. Before I made it to the service truck got a call on the 2-way from Debbie that the balerman was having troubles.

Went to check that out, he had been it a field that takes 6 hours to bale for 6 hours and still had 2 hours left. After 700 plus bales in 2 years he still hasn't got the twine routes deciphered.

Anyway, sent him home for the night and bossman gonna bale. Made a total of 6 bales...... bearing went out..... bale on fire..... fast moving human....everything OK.

Took the bearing apart before dark came home and recieved 1/2 inch of rain from a spectacular thunderstorm. :(

The 70 bales that were ready in the windrow last night will have to wait.

That is about how my whole summer has been. Nothing REAL major, just little pricks all summer long. I am SOOOO ready for fall.

every time i really need to rely on my round baler it loses a bearing, have replaced all of them and now starting over. been the worst piece of equipment i have ever owned. try to square bale everything , use the round for doing out corner,s and salvage operation's on stuff that just get's rained on too many times  it,s not like it get's used fulltime. just a piece of crap

I don't have many personal cows so any hiccups are sure noticed here. Had a cow-calf pair walk out the gate the other day to go hide in the corn field. They've been gone a week and could be in any one of five pivots that are adjacent to each other. Seems like a good idea to go looking in the corn until you walk across 6 or 7 rows. Quickly gave up on that plan. Hope she comes out of there soon and hope she ends up at home when she does come out. Not too many fences in this part of the country. Yeah, I could hire a plane but but it seems like it would cost half the value of the pair just to get a plane off the ground. Any suggestions are welcome.

Well, there you go. Should have known I'd get a creative idea from someone on Ranchers. Too bad it's been near or over 100 degrees all summer here. Don't think I'd get too many takers for the corn maze this time around.
