The Cowboy NERD

my daughter came home from school--homework & books stacked high
algebra,history and science--dad just gave her the cowboy sigh
a straight A student---she's on the honor roll
she's well liked by teachers--but homework is taking its' toll

with work on the ranch---there's no time, to help her thru
there's fence'n and chore'n---tagging and doctoring too
the cows are a calf'n---i gotta go check the herd
"it's ok daddy---i'll just copy from a NERD" :shock:

nerds are smart---some are even cool
and the thought came to me---as i began to drool
my daughter will someday,leave the ranch---to manage her own herd
and trade her school and homework--for some lonesome cowboy NERD
