It was not NHL hockey in my opinion. They left their gloves on, left the goons at home and played 60 minutes of hockey every time they stepped on the ice.

It seems to make a difference when they are playing for their country, like you said. They just play bigger and harder without the crap because taking a stupid penalty comes with one heck of price tag when the nation's eyes are on you as a player.

I'm not much of a hockey fan but I watched the whole game. Looked to me like the best team won. Congrats to all!! I just love the Canadian National Anthem.

Not even close to NHL hockey. Big difference between playing for the love of the game and Country and playing for a paycheck. Besides there is nothing but the best the NHL has to offer on the ice at all times. Not just a shift here and there. Add up the viewers of the whole NHL on any given night and it wouldn't even come close to the viewers of the Canada US game. Our Prime Minister will be found at a few NHL games but few in the US administration would be. Whole different kettle of fish.
