I have been watching the calf sales lately and it looks like they have come up some in all weight groups. I think the winter wheat guys are filling loads on the lighter calves, and the heavier groups have rose a few bucks as well. Today we had a customer sell at Philip Livestock, they had a load of 787 lbs steers and they got $97.50 for them. That is a pretty good ticket.

I hope so... we're sending a mixed liner load of steers at about 1000lbs and about 35 dry / cull cows tomorrow for sale on thurs.

Today at East Texas Livestock we had 3336 total hd with 756 of it cows and bulls. Slaughter cows and bulls was 2-4 dollars higher. Calves was around 5-8 higher with some cases of up to 10 higher. For example, steer calves 300 lbs 127.00, 400 lbs. 124.00, 500 lbs 116.00, 600 lbs 102.00, 700 lbs. 92.50, and 800 lbs 83.00. I will have a better report out later tonight if anyone wants to see it.
