How many golf fans are out there? I look forward to this weekend all year long. I truely love to watch the Masters. Quite possibly the most beautiful place on earth. My living room carpet has more flaws in it than the fairways at Agusta National.

I know most people don't watch golf on TV but I sure do. Anyone else out there?

Watching golf to me is kinda like Nascar and kinda like watching paint dry. I enjoy/or hate the game of golf at our local golf club though.

I love watching golf. It makes me appreciate how good those guys are when I go out and play myself. My alfalfa field is next to two fairways on a coarse near the city. I have an endless supply of balls. Too bad I don't loose to many any more (don't fire it so far anymore). I have played the odd game with pro golfers and pro hockey players. Man is it fun to watch those athletes play in person. Always best to be in a best ball tournament when with those guys. Someday a trip to watch the Masters in person is on the list of things to do. :-)

I'd rather get my hand slammed in a car door than sit and listen to an annoncer whisper and the crowd go ooooooooh and aaaaaaaaaah.

I know that per and myself are in the minority on this one, but that's OK. I found out last year after the Masters was over that my financial advisor had access to tickets. The price was outrageous, $1,500 for a practice round but that also got you access to the tents where the pros frequent. I'd like to know what just the regular pass would be. Someday I'd like to go, but not for that price.

I have been trying to set up a ranch golf tourney where each ranch has a fairway 300 to 600 yards long (a stretch of over grazed pasture). We rent a bus and drive and visit between ranches. Jump off the bus at 9 stops and go down and back each fairway. So far have 5 takers, just need 4 more to make 18 holes. I seeded a 4 ac strip of creeping red fescue across from my house for my fairway. It is a patch of grass that is definitely managed different than the rest of the ranch. I try to keep it at 3 inches. Hit balls out there three or four times a week with the kids. Thank goodness for dung beetles!
