The Mighty Sooners!

Mike, that is an understatement!!

this loss takes me back to 2003, when they were proclaimed on ESPN as the greatest team to EVER be assembled.... and KSU took them out to the woodshed for a 35 - 7 throttling.

red river shoot out to be fought with cork guns this year!

Auburn 20 Flordia 17... Last second field goal that had to be kicked twice.

Was proud of Zook and Illinois yesterday too! :D

They'll be a force to reckon with in the Big 10 in years to come!

5 of the top 11 teams tanked and USC almost got it too.....

gotta love NCAA football! now, if jeff gordon will just get hammered into the wall today, it will be a grand weekend for this fat boy!

Illinois might have something going.. Might be able to get into that Wisconsin echelon of teams in the Big 10.. You know, not the top two but a team that can and will beat you and can compete for the championship in the conference.... Seems like UM and OSU are there every year but than you have PSU,Wisonsin, or Iowa, in the past or a team like Northwestern in 95.96 and 2000 that ocmes as a surprise..I think Illinois will take Iowa's place as the Hawkeyes are just puking all over the place right now.. Seems like ferentz should have taken those pro jobs he declined to interview for....

Good for Zook, kind of think he got the shaft down in Florida but Meyer did win pretty darn fast with those guys that Zook recruited... You should hear Notre Dame squeel about Illinois and the recruting and it is only going to get worse, Illinois is targeting some Chicago Public school kids that have verbals to ND but after the Julius Jones debacle analysts think those commitments won't firm up and will go elsewhere by signing day... Serves ND as they havve a history of recruting kids even after they verbal somewhere else (Of course, what school doesn't, lol)

Wisconsin has always been by Big 10 team simply because of the Barry Alvarez connection to NU. I watch them against MSU yesterday and was impressed with how the O kept answering the call. The D didn't do much, but those shootout games happen.

I hope EVERYBODY steps in and get's ND's recruits. I try to stay positive, but I loathe ND because of all the special treatment they demand - and get.

Hasn't ND had some players apply for transfer to other schools?

If so, I hope they all jump ship! :D

Wisconsin is a solid team, year in and year out too.

Wisconsin is lead by a man who learned the skill under Legendary Head Coach Bill Snyder. Bilema is one I would have liked to come backj to KSU when Snyder retired.... but I am learning to like Prince!

You don't think Alvarez might have a little something to do with it?

You're getting a little carried away calling Snyder a legend. He had how many National titles or even how many Conf. titles in his career?

1941 -1991 KSU was 130-385
1992 - 2006 KSu is 130 - 45

this is why I think he is a legend

and an all around good guy. quite different than, say ....Barry Switzer.
