States crackdown on fraudlent unemployment insurance fraud

A nationwide crackdown is coming for people fraudulently drawing unemployment payments -- those who were never eligible and workers who keep getting checks after they return to work -- a $17 billion benefits swindle last year alone, say federal officials.

(I guess I thought they kept on top of this as a matter of prudent
business. Guess I was wrong. Like wayyyy wrong. Just another
example of why this country is broke.) :cry:

hey,.. times are tough.,.. all the regular working fraud has dried up...

do ya wonder how many of them are real estate agents, developers, mortgage brokers, and appraisers who are now not raking in the cash..
