The Powder River today

We went to Miles City to visit a friend in the hospital that got bucked off his young horse Sunday. I took this picture of the Powder River as we whizzed by.

And this old house could really tell some stories!!
(I took a close up one, but it's blurry.)

He's 66 years old. Broke all the ribs on his right side, and one rib is broken in two places. His lungs collapsed as well. He was doing pretty good today...considering...but he had a morphine pump going steady.

Dr. says 3 months before he can so much.

Reminder to everyone: Do not ride a green horse when there is no one around!!!!

With his ribs busted up like that I doubt he will feel much like working before 3 mo. is up - I hope he doesn't have to sneeze.

That old house is fascinating. The history of it would be like a goldmine if it could be discovered. 5 kids? 8 kids? Looooong winters?

I don't think I ever saw that much water in the Powder- but my sister used to tell me, when she lived there, that it actually floods.... :shock:
