A playtoy I put together a while back. It's a 6BR with a .262 neck with a Shilen 1-16" twist barrel screwed into a Remington 700 action clamped in this contraption. Jewel 2 oz. trigger and a piece of junk scope.

Will shoot in the same hole pushing Knight 68 grain bullets behind Vihta Vouri 133 powder, which I haven't totally decided on exactly how much yet.

Oh, and it weighs 18 pounds. Not one to be toting around much.

That needs a prairie dog town soon.

I guess an armadilla will have to do for now.

They have a nice "POP" on impact. Like shooting a watermelon.

Maybe this summer I can get to some P-dogs.

Those yodel dogs wont stand a chance against that rig...........pretty snazzy..........hate to ask,how much you got in it :D .........good luck
PS maybe some day you and I can try it out on some of em along the river, just gotta make the time.

Where do you get the parts for something like that?

Bought the aluminum stock on E-bay. It was $150. Made by Simonson? A small machine shop in Idaho. It would be simple to duplicate.

Screwed the barrel off an old Rem 700 action and ordered the barrel from Shilen Barrels in Houston, Tx. Barrel was about $250.

My gunsmith reamed the chamber, threaded the barrel, cut the crown and blueprinted the action for about $150.

Ordered the trigger from Arnold Jewell. He like his triggers. I think it was $150 for the one with no safety.

Bedded the action myself and assembled it.

I could easily have several different barrels by screwing this one off and screwing on another. What other calibers should I get?
