Finished branding the two's calves this morning. It was beautiful weather we had both days. Then to end it all we got a rain shower this evening. :-)

Heading to the backside of the pasture to gather 'em up.

Not doing much of a job of hiding out.

Turning off the mill as we were changing pastures with them.

Good day to be a rancher.

When ya get a great day for a branding and then a rain...life is good!!!! Glad ya posted the one that you caught, and not the one that got away...lol Great shots. Thanks

Once again Tap, nice pics. Great self portrait

Keep the good work!

Did ya get any of the stuff that falls from the sky? I hope so.

Do you have any 4-H rodeo aged kiddos? If so, will you be our guest tomorrow? lazy ace has the honor  of stringing the barrier in Timber Lake. I pretty much hold down a post or a bleacher. Look us up if you're coming this way, and likewise if you need a place to stay.

Cheers---

Sorry for not answering you yesterday TTB, but I was told to get off the computer and into the car as we were heading for my wife's nephew's wedding. :) Geez, priorities.

The kids are not in 4-H, so we are obviously not over there today. If we get over that way we will look you up. Same goes to you guys.

There are three guarantees in life: death; taxes; and the wind blowing in Timber Lake. Today didn't let us down on the third guarantee.

It was a good rodeo, run in a split arena, so it moves faster than the average rodeo, but lazy ace and I are wind burnt. It was really fun watching the little tykes have fun and try their hardest, and the older kids heckle each other, but still be good competitors.

Did you have fun at the wedding? Don't you hate it when us wives crack the whip?  Someone always has to be the bad guy.

I hope we'll get over your way for a visit. I'd enjoy meeting you and seeing your livestock and country.

Cheers---

TTB, the wedding was ok, as far as weddings go. Tap Jr. and I weren't as impressed as the gals were I'd imagine. Which reminds me of several jokes not suitable for ranchers.net.

You can always count on the wind blowing over this way too. Must be a SD thing. It was good of you guys to donate your time anyhow.
