The Smile Says It All

My little girl has really come into her own this past year, her horsemanship is coming along nicely, and the best part is she's having a ton of fun. I just love the smile.
She won 1st place in the 1D on both ends of a barrel racing jackpot double header the other day (where this photo was taken) and has been smiling ever since.

Great! I would say that the helmets are a good idea, and everyone wants their kids and grandkids to be safe, but it's funny that a few decades ago it wouldn't have occured to anyone to wear a helmet on a horse, and ones like that weren't even invented yet.......or maybe they were and we didn't know it.
