BURNT ,are you in williams lake?

Don't I wish I was!!

Nope, I just was checking the forecast for here at home. I knew Gcreek had a bit of hay to do up yet too so I checked the W.L. forecast too.

I have a bit of hay to cut again but the weather is not letting me git er done. Rain forecast for a solid week. And it ain't summer no mo!

It's been a average year crop wise here.I finished 3 weeks ago covering just over 450 acres.putting up 1600 +bales with a br 740 nh .they 'll weigh 800 pounds.of that 200 were put through a tubeliner.makes great feed.i wouldn't want to be without it.the forecast says it will be good for another week. :D

Morrison Meadow is baled, about 110 ton more than last year, still 600 bales to yard there. Oats and peas are wrapped, ave. crop considering we didn't pack pipe and have only gotten 3 1/2 inches of rain since May 1.

About 7-8 days cutting left here at home, it's going to be a record crop. First field that normally makes 110 or so bales made 175. Haven't had to wrap any grass hay yet.

Looks like we may get R dun as long as everything holds together.

Burnt, Puntzi Mountain is our closest weather station.

Well it sounds like you are not going to run out of feed this winter! As long as you get it hauled in anyway. I don't remember if you have cows over at MM or if you haul it back closer to home? How far is MM from your main spread?

We are not going to have any extra feed at all this year. Unless this corn stover thing works out. That would make a big difference. First cut was light and 2nd cut was almost nil.

But there is a really good regrowth now that we got some rain late this summer. The catch is to get the weather to get it cut and baled. Even wrapped would be good. The other catch is that taking another cut this fall might give us that much less production next year. Kind of a catch 22.
