Things to keep in your pickup

gcreek-I might be able to tell yall how that set-up works out right soon. A friend just dropped that motor into an older Ford duallie. It was an older style F450 with the dropped front axle. He hauls a 24 ft tri-axle race car hauler with a shop on front. Never was one to like "whimpy" trucks...........

BTW, nice pony (over in the other thread)

Iguess i will stick with my old 1980 cab over MACK,

A REAL TRUCK

My granddad had one of those too, didn't think there were any still around............

Thanks.
A guy I know made that truck combo back in the early 90's, only F350. The expensive part was the bell housing adapter.

Actually I'm looking for a used FL 70 or 80 Freightliner, nothing fancy, all that shiny stuff would disintegrate on these roads.

Any links?

yup, that was the only real hassle (bell housing), but this boy rebuilds Class 3-8 trucks for a living, so it wasn't really that bad. AS far as the FL-70, I got 2, but really don't want to get rid of them. I got these from a Pepsi distributorship when they upgraded. Yall might want to check out anything like that in your area.

compass, canned beans and a bed roll, come in mighty handy around here, never can tell when its gonna rain but when it does it floods, with all these low water crossins its wise to find high ground and wait...........good luck

yep, rain would be nice for a change.

I might have missed if somebody else mentioned this, but if you've ever been out in low visibility a compass can come in handy....or better yet gps.
