EVERYONE keep you car doors locked at ALL TIMES!! I was stopped at a local red light the other day. A guy, acting like he was taking a pic of something else, stepped out into the street awfully close to my back door of the car.

While continuing to ' take a pic' I heard him try to open my back car door. #1 my car instantly locks all doors and #2 it's not a conventional lift up door handle and #3 my hand was heading towards my ' protection' at the same time.

I ran the red light.

Lock those doors people!!!

At least you had personal protection if it had gone any farther.

Did you call 911 so he wasn't able to try it to someone not so careful?

When I was driving the truck out to LA, the first order of bidness when I got to the I10 and I15 junction coming into town was to lock the doors on the truck. I was at the stoplight at the junction of La Cienega and Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills one morning when a 7 foot tall crackhead walked up to the door and demanded money. He was so tall he was practically looking me straight in the eye, and a real scary looking SOB. About then the light changed. I looked at him as I was letting out the clutch and said "No habla". Within seconds I was pulling into the security of the unloading dock at the Beverly Center mall, pretty shook up but no worse for wear. The world is not the safest of places anymore.

That happened to me. They guy went banging on my window, the next the he knew he was looking down a barrel. He backed of real quick
