Dr. Seuss's book The Cat in the Hat,turned 50 years old yesterday......I remember those books as a kid......to this day I enjoy reading Green eggs and ham to the little ones,I think I have more fun reading it out loud then they do listening.. :) Sam I am..lol....I barley remember books but those Dr suess books I will never forget...

I have an original copy of my moms here at the house. Along with the original "Giddapy" Don't know if you guys remember that one, but dang they are cute :)

Last summer I ordered some of those Auracana chicks, just for the heck of it, and they started laying here around New Years... I still laugh every time my 3 yr old helps me get the eggs..."LOOK Mom, a NOTHER Green one!"

(We get about 14 green ones a day, LOL, along with a pink one here and there, a blue, and the tan and brown ones the other chickens are laying.)

Now, how do I explain to him that I'm NOT going to figure out how to make green ham, the book doesn't SAY the HAM was green!

My Mom got me every Dr. Seuss book there was. If I looked hard enough in her house, I'm sure I would find them. Even at a young age, I was an avid reader, still am. Thanks Mom for bringing me up with books and cultivating my mind so that I can have the pleasure of such a vivid imagination that I still use today.
