My boy and our goat. He went 13 1/2". Not the 16" I wanted, but I was on him and was running out of hunting time.

right above his middle finger is where I sat last year..... I hope to be in Manhattan this year for our vengence....

Handsome boy. Must've gotten his looks from Mom?

How far was the shot on the goat? 6-700 yards?

25-06?

Ya done good.

Congrats on the goat. Mighty fine looking young man you got there Sandhusker. Even decked out in red, still a good looking kid. No doubt got his good looks and brains from his momma.

That's probably a good idea, he get's pretty excited over Husker wins!

Looks like your little man is having a good time. If this was the Missouri game, this pic must've been snapped pretty early in the game. Wasn't your stadium empty by halftime in that game?

Get a good look at the boy now, he'll be dumping quarterbacks in Lincoln in about 10 years.

25-06 Savage Model 111 w/ Nosler 87 grain @ 330 yards broadside. Had a decent crosswind so I held on the front of his haunch and squeezed. The way he hunched up and kicked, my first thought was that I hit right where I aimed, but he didn't go 20 yards before he dumped - got him where I wanted.

We had got one the week before about 1 minute after the Texas Tech game. We had been listening to the game on the radio and just as it ended, we drove over a ridge and there they were 200 yards away. One of the guys stepped out and drilled one. When the goat hit the turf, my boy commented, "That sure beats the Huskers losing" - he recovers from losses easier than I do.

Good for your son...he looks pretty happy.

Our area hasn't opened antelope season yet as they're pretty new to the area but they're getting to be pretty big masses of them around.

First yr ever in this area that huntings open Sundays.... Gun season starts tommorow....

Nice goat Sandhusker-- my son got one just a little shorter yesterday-- but he said that they saw several that are losing or have lost their horns...

Somebody supposedly saw an antelope within ten miles of my place-I can't believe they'd work their way through all that bush and muskkeg to the south. I'll believe it when I see it I guess.
