Doesn't appear that criminals play football at Nebraska only, or that Lawrence Phillips was the only criminal that ever put on pads. I don't believe, though, that any Nebraska players were ever charged with or investigated for kidnapping....but that's none of my business.

However, it seems that we all live in glass houses.

Maybe Jiggsy would now enlighten us as to the bowl eligibility of his MildCats, or how many conference wins they have this season.

BTW...we didn't need any supposed help from the refs to get the "W" yesterday.

almost HALF of the list is SEC teams..... very interesting. I did hear one time that for every national title Oklahoma had, they had 3 NCAA investigations....
the odds of us getting to a bowl are still there. win the last two, and I am sure they will be taking teams with losing records.... the difference is, my little red friend, I do not beat my chest proclaiming the road to a national title each year. I take the season for what it is.

Once again, my little follically challenged MildCat, you're remembering things that didn't happen. I sure don't recall making any kind of a comment about us winning a national title this year. But the Bo-leivers have suddenly got a case of STFU. Bo's two penalties late in the game yesterday cost YSU a chance to even tie and go into OT. Bo may have won 9 every year at Nebraska, but right now he's 5-5 and having nuclear meltdowns once again. I'm glad next week is a bye week for us, so we can get healed up and prepare for those Iowa ChickenEyes. I've a feeling that they could be vulnerable.

BTW.....WHY would you be surprised that almost half the teams on that list are ESECPN teams?

Is the "Legend" getting ready to retire, AGAIN? With a record of 3-6, (0-6 Big 12), it might be time to look for a HC that doesn't remember the Wall Street crash of '29 and the Great Depression like it was yesterday.

Yeah, bos temper might have cost that game. What I didn't like hearing is Bo took players with him, wonder if he returned wages to NU, from recruiting those players.

Nebraska is getting their wobbly legs under them. I like the fng, hope he gets Iowa, that would be huge.

My Jayhawks are still hunting a win. Everyone thinks Kansas is lucky our third string QB played against tcu's second string QB. More than half the Jayhawks that played were freshmen, and the roster is 25 ships light. We couldn't close out UT, T Tech, or TCU. I think the big 12 is soft this year but still tougher than the rust belt. The idiots are expecting more/better from the first year coach. I guess they think firing the coach every year just hasn't been tested enough.

Um, this is kinda rich about a program that produced a video called "a decade of dominance"
Does dominance mean "pretty good" sometimes, in Hootervill?
So you schedule the weakest noncon sched and get 3, ahem wins. Do you hurt the team more by admitting you're so bad you think that scenario is reward worthy?

24/7 Sports had a nice little article about the college football teams with the most arrests in the last 5 years, through August, 2015.

Nebraska was way down the list of the Top 30, with, I believe, 13 arrests...fewer than Auburn, Alabama, and most every other school in the SEC. So, as a conference, the SEC also leads in arrests. We even had fewer arrests than Brad's Jayhawks (strange).

Mike enjoys crowing about all the records the SEC has set....well, here's another one, but I doubt he brags about it very much. ;-)

*Arrests means just that...arrests, not necessarily charges and convictions.

More for the SEC fans to brag about.

Missouri has suspended it's QB for the third time in four months due to a video allegedly showing him snorting a line of a "white substance".

While it's not an arrest, it has to be a record of some kind...three suspensions in four months. Since the substance he snorted was white....wouldn't that be considered racist?

Two words.................Christian Peter. Ring a bell?

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2014/12/16/christian-peter-nfl-nebraska-patriots-giants-rape-kathy-redmond/20502967/

snip During his career as a defensive lineman at Nebraska from 1991 to 1995, he was arrested eight times, convicted four times and accused of assaulting four women. The impact of that violent, troubled history has surfaced anew.

Using your own logic, and Jigs' too, it was 20 years ago. Ancient history. Irrelevant. The 24/7 article stated over the LAST FIVE YEARS.

Your precious SEC currently owns it. Take a big whiff.

Once again, it appears you only read and shared the parts of the article that were damning, much like somebody else we know. No mention of how he totally turned his life around with meds and counseling. You hate the Huskers so much that you're slipping in your due diligence.

That's one of the main points about the Huckster Thugs, Einstein. They don't/didn't have problems until they arrive in Lincoln and are sometimes miraculously cured when they leave. There was something conducive to thug behavior while there. Was it that they thought TO (and others, sports writers, fans, etc.) would give them a pass no matter the seriousness of the crimes? It was a "Win at any cost" atmosphere................ I sure wouldn't have wanted my daughter around those thugs..............

OK, Sheldon Cooper....I'll type this real slow so you can keep up. This was over 20 years ago. You've been adamant that the Husker's success was so long ago that it's irrelevant. If that's the case, so are the issues of LP and Christian Peter. History...irrelevant... in the past.

You can't have it both ways. You're all about the modern era....well, you can't pick & choose. The SEC is the modern thug conference, and the facts & stats prove it beyond any doubt. Embrace it. You own it...the bad along with the good.

FWIW, LP wasn't miraculously cured the second he left Lincoln, and neither was Christian Peter, or Richie Incognito, or others, so your theory don't hold much water....and as far as a "win at any cost" accusation....that's pretty rich coming from an SEC guy.

LMFAO!

You want the Huckster's arbitrary winning history to be relevant, and the problem history to be irrelevant!!!!!

Gosh I love getting under your skin. You sound more like your northern neighbor with every post.

Once again, the quality of a southern education comes into question. You seem to think that the history of the Huskers is so long ago, that it's irrelevant. Fine. But for some reason you want the troubled history of some Nebraska players that happened 20+ years ago to be as relevant to the program as if they happened yesterday, while disavowing the current (last 5 years) crimes committed by SEC players, which is the highest in the nation. You can't have it both ways.

I made peace with the problems we've had long before your fellow southerner AlGore invented the internet. Stuff happens. You do the best you can and move on. Take the good, and the bad. Perhaps you should worry a little more about your precious conference leading the nation in harboring active thugs and criminals, and worry a little less about ancient history in Nebraska. Glass houses & all that.

20 years ago? Your pride & joy just died a few weeks ago in prison............................

Folks....no wonder the Union was victorious over the Confederacy.

Would you like to discuss how many NCAA investigations, vacated games, and postseason bans SEC football teams have been hammered with?
